Talking And Listening To Children -Tools From The Therapy Room
There is an increasing move towards talking and listening to children within the divorce process. We need to do this in a compassionate and effective way so that we can best meet the needs of these children. This workshop gives an insight into evidence based theories and techniques from the therapy room so that you can develop your skills and confidence in talking and listening to children. We explore how to prepare before the meeting, how to manage emotions and information within the meeting and considerations for after the meeting. This workshop also highlights developmental differences so that you are better equipped to work with children across the age span.

Engaging With Fathers
​​Engaging With Fathers summarises the most up-to-date and relevant research about the benefits of father involvement for child development and family well-being, as well as the importance of effective engagement with men in the contexts of family support and social welfare.
Introducing the latest evidence about the why and how of father engagement, Engaging With Fathers is designed to give any professional working with parents a deeper understanding of the value of involved fathers and how to engage and work with them more effectively, including in contexts of parental separation. Learning outcomes include:​

Neurodiversity - What Does It Mean?

Our understanding and appreciation of different brains is rapidly expanding. This one hour course gives you an introduction to what we mean by the term 'neurodiversity'. Learning Outcomes: The course will introduce you to ways of creating a neurodiverse aware practice. The knowledge and awareness you will gain from the course will also help you support separating parents who have neurodiversity in their family and require thoughtful adjustments around these needs.​

Understanding Trauma

This one hour course will clarify what is meant by trauma and will give you practical ways of making your professional practice more trauma-informed. Systemic trauma and developmental trauma are commonly used terms, but they are often misunderstood. Learning Outcomes: This introduction to trauma will provide any professional working with families with a greater understanding and awareness so that you can best support separating parents.​
