Clinical Psychologist Dr Angharad Rudkin MA(Oxon), Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society
Dr Angharad has 25 year's of experience of working with children and their families. She has co-authored a number of books for children and parents, including the 'Split Survival Kit', a book for children about coping with divorce. Dr Angharad was a relationship expert for the Metro for 9 years and continues to regularly appear on radio and TV to discuss child mental health and parenting. She has consulted with Government bodies as well a private organisations around child well-being and has lectured at the University of Southampton for many years.

OnlyMums & Dads is a Community Interest Company with over 20 years experience of supporting families on the frontline of separation and divorce. We aim to encourage and support families to be better informed of their choices when separating. We run the Family Separation Support Hub (FSSH), a multi-disciplinary resource for parents to find the right support. We recently published '(Almost) Anything But Family Court', and 'Separating with Children 101' 3rd edition, Bath Publishing 2023.

Professor Anna Tarrant
Professor of Sociology, Univeristy of Lincoln
Anna is Professor of Sociology at the University of Lincoln. She is Director of the Centre for Innovation in Fatherhood and Family Research and leads a UK Research & Innovation Future Leaders Fellowship research study called ‘Following Young Fathers Further’ (FYFF). FYFF is a seven-year qualitative longitudinal and participatory study of the parenting journeys and support needs of young fathers. Anna has been researching men’s care responsibilities and family lives from a lifecourse perspective for well over a decade and has published several books, journal articles and other outputs. Notable examples include The Dynamics of Young Fatherhood (Neale and Tarrant, 2024), Men, Families and Poverty (Hughes and Tarrant, 2024) and Fathering and Poverty (Tarrant, 2021). Her work is also driven by innovative methodologies, including qualitative longitudinal research, qualitative secondary analysis and co-creation, that are being employed to advocate for and embed father-inclusion across the social welfare, public health and justice landscape.
Denise McCartan
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr Denise McCartan is involved in various projects associated with family law cases. She has written a book called Parental Alienation: An Evidence Based Approach, published by Routledge in 2022. Dr Denise writes expert witness reports for private family law cases and also works work for a number of Health Care Trust’s as an assessor. Dr Denise offers therapy and is an investigator looking at historical child abuse in a large sporting organisation.
