What Is The HATCAT?
The HATCAT (How Are The Children? Assessment Tool) is an evidence based tool to guide conversations between a parent and a professional in a non-confrontational way. It will help identify how a child is doing and signpost parents for further support through our “7 principles for Happy Children, Happy Families" booklet.

This new project was soft launched at our recent 'Children, Children, Children' Conference earlier this year. We have been busy developing this new tool over the last few months and will launch in 2026.
The Pilot
We asked for volunteers at the Children conference and had a fantastic response. The pilot consists of sharing a simple questionnaire with half a dozen clients and then having a conversation about how they found doing it and discussing aspects of their child's experience of divorce / separation that might be causing them time to pause and reflect.

We are super grateful to all of the volunteers taking part - this project could not happen without them!

If you are interested in taking part or would like to know more about the project please email bob@onlydads.org. Unfortunately we won't be able to take on any more volunteers after Friday 31st October.
Advisory Group
As well as our team of volunteers we have an incredible group of advisors.
